Our Training Philosophy
Our philosophy places Analytical Psychology at the centre of the training. We recognise that effective practice relies not only on strong theoretical and clinical grounding but also on the practitioner’s authenticity, imagination, and self-awareness—qualities central to Jungian and post-Jungian practice. Trainees are encouraged to develop personal authority and confidence, enabling them to navigate diverse approaches within contemporary analytical psychotherapy while remaining rooted in the principles of Analytical Psychology.
Aligned with Jung’s vision of fostering autonomous individuals, the programme promotes a culture of inquiry rather than adherence to rigid orthodoxy. While the curriculum is grounded in the theories of C.G. Jung and their development by post-Jungians, it also incorporates wider psychoanalytic, developmental, and object-relations perspectives. Each subject is taught by specialists in their field, providing trainees with a rich, diverse, and symbolically nuanced analytic learning experience.
