The Analytical Psychotherapy Training  has been a key part of the region’s therapeutic community since it was first established in 1990. Its purpose is to provide a high-quality learning experience through which graduates develop into competent, ethical and reflective practitioners of Analytical Psychotherapy. To support this mission, the Training Committee promotes an active, open-minded and well-informed culture of analytical practice across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands, including an annual programme of public lectures.

The Analytical Psychotherapy Training offers three core routes:

• Four-Year Analytical Psychotherapy Training
  A clinical qualifying programme leading to BPC registration and Professional Membership within the West Midlands psychotherapy community.

• Introduction to Analytical Psychotherapy Course
  Ideal for individuals who want to explore analytical psychotherapy principles without committing to a full qualifying training at this stage.

• Two-Year Infant Observation Training
  A structured programme designed to deepen understanding of early development through close observational study.
